Pancake Christmas Tree.

Christmas morning is full of hustle and bustle. The children are pumped up and excited.. and getting hungry. The adults are easy, sausage and egg casserole and they will be happy, but the kids. What about the kids? Don’t they deserve a special Christmas morning breakfast?

Have you ever met a child that doesn’t love a pancake? So what can we do that is quick and simple, how about pancakes simply made in three sizes so it is an instant Christmas tree. You can even sneak in something healthy, with Tenda-Bake® 7-Grain Pancake Mix. Or try our Tenda-Bake® Maple Burst Pancake Mix, a little texture for the tree.

A healthy pancake, surrounded by fruit and topped with an edible star. You have gotten them excited and also shown them how creative you are and how special they are and how much you love them.

Bring them in the kitchen with you, let them help make the tree and decorate the tree. It is a lesson you want them to learn anyway- how much fun it is to cook and be with the family. The more I think about it, the adults may want these too.

So everyone can eat together, place your oven on low heat. Make the pancakes and place on racks. Then get your plates out and build them all at the same time.

Happy holidays, from us at Midstate Mills.

To Make Pancakes:

Make pancakes according to instructions on package except make one using a 1/3 cup measure, one using a ¼ cup measure, one using a 1/8 cup measure, and one using a tablespoon measure. Stack the pancakes and dust with confectioner’s sugar. Slice a star fruit and place the star on top. Give children fresh fruit such as raspberries, strawberries, orange slices, or bananas to decorate their pancake tree. Drizzle with pancake syrup.
